Before you come

Your first class.

A little preparation makes the first session far more comfortable. This is what we tell everyone who walks in.

What to wear

  • Leggings that cover the backs of your knees
  • A fitted top covering armpits and midriff
  • Bare feet or thin grip socks
  • No jewellery, watches, zips or rivets
  • Hair tied back

On the day

  • Arrive 10 minutes early to sign in and warm up
  • Eat lightly one to two hours before
  • Skip hand lotion — it makes fabric slippery
  • Bring water and a small towel
  • Sore forearms and fabric marks are normal

Tell us if you

  • Are pregnant or recently gave birth
  • Have a shoulder, wrist, back or neck injury
  • Have high blood pressure, vertigo or a heart condition
  • Have had surgery in the last six months
  • Have any question at all — we adapt the class
Questions

Things we're asked a lot.

Do I need to be strong or flexible already?

No. Our beginner classes are designed for people who cannot do a single pull-up. The strength comes from the movements themselves, and the fitness track fills the gaps. Most students surprise themselves in the first hour.

How high do we actually go?

Beginners work within a metre of the mat. Height increases only once your coach has signed off the wraps that keep you secure. Crash mats sit under every point.

What are the age groups?

Kids classes are for ages 6 to 12, Teens for 13 to 17, and Adults for 16 and over. If your child sits near a boundary, message us and we will put them in the group that fits.

What is the difference between silks and hoop?

Silks is two lengths of fabric — climbing, wrapping and dropping. Aerial hoop (lyra) is a suspended steel ring — shapes, spins and transitions. Hoop is often kinder on the hands; silks builds more grip. Most students end up doing both.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancel from your bookings up to 12 hours before the class and the credit returns to your account automatically. After that the credit is used.

Can I book privates?

Yes. Private fitness sessions are available with Mathieu Mitri, and one-to-one aerial coaching with Gaelle. Message us with what you are working toward.
